Heck Tate is Maycomb County's sherrif. He is known as an honest man. He is the first witness in the trial. He said
that Mr. Ewell came to get him and he helped clean Mayella up. He said that her right eye was turning black and her father
was very upset. He is friends with Atticus, so even though he's a witness for the accusing "team", he is still friendly with
Atticus when he questions him.
